Sunu Bol is an agri-food processing project rooted in family care, nutritional need, and long-term perseverance. Managed by Dada Dieng, a 34-year-old entrepreneur, the project operates under SCTA, an agri-food trading and processing company focused on improving nutrition through accessible, locally grounded products.
“My name is Dada Dieng, and I am the manager of Sunu Bol,” he explains. “We are in agri-food processing more precisely with the Sunu Bol project which is an association of cereals and legumes in powder form.”

The idea behind Sunu Bol did not begin as a business. It began at home. “At first our mother prepared this mixture for our parents who suffered from a lack of iron and vitamins, especially the children,” Dada says. “It is with its positive results that it was considered necessary to make known this synergy of miraculous actions rich in vitamins and proteins. That’s where we started marketing the Sunu Bol product.”
That origin continues to define the project. Sunu Bol is designed to address real nutritional deficiencies using familiar ingredients, particularly cereals and legumes that are rich in proteins and vitamins. The aim is not novelty but impact, especially for children and families affected by malnutrition.
A major turning point came through participation in programmes delivered by Kosmos Innovation Center. For Dada, the value lay in discipline and approach. “Kosmos Innovation Center taught us the mindset, perseverance, patience and above all motivation, they equipped us,” he says. “Because of their training, we were able to structure our project well, which earned us another title.”
Challenges were inevitable, but quitting was never an option for Dada. “Abandoning things is not part of our slogan,” Dada laughs. “Despite the difficulties we had to overcome we have always remained serene and motivated and we continue to be.”
Since completing the programme, Sunu Bol has matured significantly. “Since we finished the program we had to see other perspectives which forged us more,” he explains. “Because of the substance of the project and the form as well as our mentality everything has been changed from top to bottom. We have become more mature and more serious about what we do and that’s one more step.”
One of the proudest moments for the team came with regional recognition. “The proudest moment I can say the second Kosmos Innovation Center prize we won showed us that we can go further with our projects,” Dada says. “And that’s what made us the second best projects at the level of Africa with the Stay Up program.”
Looking ahead, Sunu Bol plans to expand its offering with cereal-based cookies, 100 percent natural protein bars, and ready-to-use Sunu Bol cans for malnourished children, particularly in Senegal.
For Dada, entrepreneurship is ultimately about resolve. “The best entrepreneur is the one who knows his objectives and who gives himself all the weapons to achieve them, whether it rains or snows,” he says. “Never let go… Success is at the end of the effort.”
